Waking up in the lovely Huntsville, Texas, it was clear that the last hint of stormy weather had passed eastwards and we has the prospect of several storm-free days to contemplate.
So storm chasing became a road trip and we headed to New Orleans, then on to Tupelo, Memphis, Little Rock and then back into Dallas 4 days later for Shiv to make her getaway back to the UK, sadly with no tornadoes to her name.
With no severe storms forecast over the next few days, there was still a chance of something marginal up in Kansas, so we set off Northwards.
