Back on the plains in 2019 to share in nature's spectacle

It begins

Egypt last week. Storm chasing in the US this week.

Hopefully I get to see more than the (actually quite impressive) dust devil I witnessed in the Egyptian desert on Friday. Also hoping the food has a less, shall we say, adverse effect on my stomach.

Talking of food, my aim is to try not to eat ribs and steak every single night, though I don’t fancy my chances at holding out for long.

So flying out today, staying in Denver overnight and then i literally have no idea where we will be tomorrow. Tony’s most recent view is that this week looks to be pretty quiet, as the blocking pattern starts to break down. It therefore looks like we will be feeding on scraps for a few days, but we’re still likely to chase every possibility of storms.

Potential for the weekend onwards is improving but still looking quite uncertain. I’ll give you the full update once I have spoken to the resident expert.

My own understanding is slowly growing though, I’ve been cramming like I have an exam this week, but I am still known to mix my bowing segments with my hook echos – definitely not something one wants to do in the field… Tony should keep me on the right path… No pressure Tony.
