But I’m ecstatic. We got to experience a pretty mean RFD (rear flank downdraft), a funnel and I gained a load of experience around a pretty big supercell. We also have some footage of a much larger rotating updraft on Tony’s camcorder, which I will get on here once we get it off the tape.
Tomorrow is going to be massive – the strongest & probably most dangerous day of the trip. Strong tornadoes are possible. I will need a good night’s sleep! Tonight we are staying in Russell, on the I70. A 300 mile trip to Tulsa awaits tomorrow (changes in the models not withstanding). Yes, I have become Chandler from friends – I am off to Tulsa.
